Mixed xylene will be called xylene. Xylene is used as an inert ingredient in a wide variety of agricultural and residential pesticide products used in and around the home. Formulations applied to growing crops or to raw agricultural commodities (RACs) after harvest.

Used as a solvent in the printing, rubber and leather industries.

Used in the production of polymers

Used as a cleaning agent for steel
